Despite this album having the worst Queen song, (Body Language) this completely fucking slaps. Put Out the Fire, Back Chat, Dancer and Staying Power are all underrated gems.

I avoided listening to this album for a long time because the first Queen album I ever had was a best of where the only track included off it was "Body Language" so I figured it would all be like that (I had heard Under Pressure before but I don't think I knew it was off the same album). Now I've gotten up to it on a Queen deep dive and it's really not bad at all. Not necessarily a representative "Queen album" but a good "eighties pop" album.

This is like a soundtrack of the 80s that just happened to be made by Queen. Underrated and overhated.

According to some people and even the band members themselves "this is not Queen". I get it, it really strays from their main sound. However, there's some great gems in here.

Not a fan at all. This is all the cheese of the eighties and canned into one album. Luckily I have all their other album's to make up for it 😊

Some really great songs here "Cool Cat", "Back chat", "las palabras de amor", "Under Pressure". Never understood why everyone says this is the worst Queen album. Bunch of closed minded people...

Not a bad album at all. It's got a couple of stinkers, but the rest is superb. Much better than it's reputation suggests.

The live versions of the tracks from this album that are on "Queen On Fire" make me think that this album would have been widely considered to be one of their best if they stuck to their "no synthesizers" rule and upped the intensity by a half step. These are great songs at their core.

It's funny that people complain that is a more dance/disco album than a rock one but for me the best songs on the album are the one's that are less rock....

Used to hate this record as well, but upon revisiting it's actually more than decent. A couple of hidden gems, a big hit and one or two cheezy songs with some solid filler material tucked in. Not that different from any of Queen's mid-carrier albums in that matter. Worst Queen album has to be Made in Heaven, for obvious reasons.

If they stuck to their 'no synthesizers' rule with this album it could have been one of their best (see the 'Queen On Fire' live album for definitive proof of this. As it is, it's decent and underrated.

Even Queen's worst is worth a listen in my eyes. I love all of their albums. [2]
