Lil Baby and DaBaby team up on “Baby,” a song which marks their third official collaboration following “Baby Shower” and “Today (Remix).” Released as a single for Quality Control’s compilation album Control the Streets, Vol. 2, “Baby” turned out to be the most popular track on the project—it performed high on the charts and was supported by the release of a music video that has quickly garnered tens of millions of views.
On the Wheezy-produced track, the two “Baby” artists trade bars about their upbringing, accomplishments, and relationships with women. The two artists rap about representing their respective cities and address their lifestyle: their tough come-up in a difficult environment has left its marks on their daily lives, which are marked by dangerousness and opulence.
