this is not hate, but vocalist sounds like she's doing an impression of vanessa hay from pylon esp in "bodies & control.." album. not bad, but sounds exactly like vanessa lol which is a great thing tbh

Stumbled across this band the other day. New fan! Seduction of Kansas is a dope album! Liked the first few songs and expected it tail off but didn't, very strong, consistent album. Early "Best album of 2019" contender for sure. Vibe reminds me at times of another great newer band I've fallen for - Polica. Albeit that band comes from more of a trip-hop/ dark synth-pop place and Priests sounds more post-punk inspired.

The Seduction of Kansas is hella tight and diverse. Their most hook filled record yet.

i am really liking it, i liked nothing feels natural but this is much more accesable like i don't need to be in a specific mindset to enjoy it. ( not saying that makes it a better album but it's a good thing for me that i didnt see coming)

Nothing Feels Nice is good. The bass is fantastic, but there are some things I actually didn't like: they don't feel so original, guitars are too much chaotic for the genre but sax and other fiatos are pretty fantastic.

Coming from a "polite-wave" where guitars are a little bit more focused on saying something. I usually listen to Diaframma, used to listen to Gaznevada and bands with a different attitude within Joy Division/Warsaw (thinking about Avant! records, Rendez-vous ndr) and pretty distant from post hc bands that MUST be more chaotic.

Definitely opens with the strongest song, at least judging from the first listen. Still some solid tunes in here, though.

Saw these guys live a while ago and they absolutely tore it up, definitely worth seeing if you get the chance
