Povl Kjøller (3rd june 1937 – 11th september 1999) was originally educated as a music teacher, but gained danish fame as a singer of jazz inspired children songs in the 70s - in particular after he hosted the children programme Kaj & Andrea, co-hosting with the frog Kaj and the parrot Andrea.
In the 90s he played the summer rock live circuit for a couple of years, summoned by a new recognition - a retro-fame amongst a young audience who remembered the songs from lp´s and TV of their childhood and could sing a long even with a few under their belts!!
