That the video was featured on Beavis & Butthead was probably received by Gilmour and the others in good humor. I can imagine Roger cackling like an old hen, and Syd maybe finding it channel surfing.

Easily the best song on this album and probably the best post-Rog Pink Floyd song.

Honestly I think this song is great too, Richard's keyboard work on The Divsion Bell is phenomenal tbh

I’m not ignoring The Endless River but in a way it is. The Division Bell is the last album they took out on the road, and to me makes it last in a special way.

I think there is a part of all of us that we know is not reality, but still is there that we wish we could transcend time and space to keep the people we love around forever. Not having to live the rest of our lives without them, and they never having to face death without us able to help them. :(

It's been a solid fifteen years since my ears were first graced with the utter majesty that is this song, and I'm still not done fanboying over how incredible the lines "Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us/To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side/Step taken forward, but sleepwalking back again/Dragged by the force of some inner tide" are.
