They settled back into a more classic rock sound from Yield onwards, but I do love the experimentation on No Code and Vitalogy.

I had discovered this album one day years ago. I was digging through the used CDs at a store and a guy came up to me, handed me a $5, and told me to buy the copy of No Code they had

One of PJ's better records, I think. Continues in the vein of Vitalogy in experimenting with different styles, some of which are very different from what had been Pearl Jam's style to this point. I know people love Ten, and it is an iconic album, but to me they got a lot better once they allowed themselves to relax and not have every song be so big and anthemic. Vitalogy through Yield is probably the best run of albums in their career to date, IMO, and No Code could potentially be the best of the three.

This is my favorite Pearl Jam Album... I love all the tracks (except for 'Around the Bend')... Drummer Jack Irons is brillant here.

This has now dethroned the avocado album as my favorite PJ album. Imagine if Pearl Jam did their own Mellon Collie or White Album and it was one disc instead of two. This was the one that tested the loyalty of the fans. Some stayed like me while the ones who only liked the hard songs abandoned them for mallcore crap like Bizkit. We PJ fans won!

Finished it. That was pretty incredible. First four albums down now. I would say Vs is my favourite as it stands but I rank No Code and Vitalogy pretty close.

It took me quite a long time to realise this is my favourite PJ album. I just realised it while I was walking down to the train station and listening... funny, always thought my fave was Vitalogy.
