Parsalip is referred to as the new generation of Persian rap by using western subject and phrases in his songs. In an Interview with Behzad Bolour at BBC’s Bolour Banafsh he revealed the meaning behind his name:
Parsa is my name and “LIP” means “Life is painful!”
