Didn't get the song when I was younger... now it's so relatable that I feel goosebumps whenever I listen

I think the whole album can be read as atheist. I mean, ignorance and brick by boring brick are such powerful hymns for the independent people.

I dont think so, brother. Hayley kept herself a Christianist even after many disolusions which she found about the religion. You see, Paramore started as a Christian band and just after they met their way with pop punk. This song, though, really talks about when even though your faith is strong and you try your best to follow God's will, the world keeps bringing you down and tearing apart what you thought it could be a shield against.

Underrated in the Paramore fandom. It is one of my favorite tracks in their discography.
