This is like post-punk gone doom. I'm ashamed I didn't pay attention to them a decade before.

Pantheist is an amazing and unique album. I refer to it as post-funeral doom. I want more, but if they're done that was a good way to go out.

"O Solitude" is an excellent album . "Don't Mourn" really stood out for me, such an intensely emotional song . I need to listen to this band more .

quoting ---> Conclusion: We will do what we want, and won't listen to anyone ;) Some people will like it, some not, and that's ok. ---< exactly!!! Please keep on composing/making your music, you won't be able to please everyone anyway, so you might as well please yourself and in the meantime me (and lots of others) ... LOVE the 'new' album as i loved the 'ancient' ones :P

O Solitude is exactly what I expected Funeral Doom to sound like before I had heard any.

"In the meanwhile we had also released a track on a split release which sounded much like the first album, but hardly anyone checked it out. " And that's a shame because 'Unveiling The Signs' is a fantastic split CD.

Wow, what a buzz here. I'll definitely check the new album out, since it has moved so many heads. Last thing I've heard from this band was "O Solitude" and I never really liked it, so I'll see with good eyes if this last one is really a departure from that style.

I have no problems with the new album, as a matter of fact one of the reasons why I like Pantheist is because I never know what to expect, they are not predictable, one can not put a "gender" on their music. I like to appreciate the artist work, their time, the illusion, the idea and most of all have respect for their work, . I bought their new album (waited a month to get it), and the more I listen to it the more I like it. Too bad they don't visit my country!

Yes, there is going to be one more album. And my two cents to this discussion: have a look around at comments and reviews of our albums. You will find that - The first one was good, but its atmosphere was ruined by the blastbeats. It was also too gay (yes, the word emo was not the buzzword back then) compared to 'real' funeral doom. - The second album was not much good, because it didn't sound enough like the first album - The third album was awful, because it wasn't 'depressing' enough (gasp) and had too much experimentation (double gasp). It also didn't sound enough like the first album - The fourth album is not good, because it has too many accessible elements. It also doesn't sound enough like the first album. In the meanwhile we had also released a track on a split release which sounded much like the first album, but hardly anyone checked it out. Conclusion: We will do what we want, and won't listen to anyone ;) Some people will like it, some not, and that's ok.

I must say I've got really mixed feelings about the new album. After the first listening I thought it will be like with "Journey..." - hated it at first, but later on I fell in love (despite the jolly moments, which, in the long run, are ok). But here... sounds like some post-rock, emo-pop, metal mixture. I just hope you guys will get back to your roots with the next album (there will be one, right?). Cheers!
