Ending Theme, Undertow and Beyond The Pale tears me apart. One of the greatest records of this century.

Hearing this album and blackwater park back to back is metal nirvana...Play Remedy Lane first and then Blackwater Park

'Of Two Beginnings' is still the greatest metal opener of all time... and that transition to 'Ending Theme'... my dear Lord!

When I first listened this album, I thought it was just a bunch of cheesy love songs and didn't care about it much. But yesterday I was in the mood for Prog and decided to give it a second chance. I'm glad I did. It certainly is a masterpiece. Love it <3

love and hate it at the same time [2] Same here, I fear this record for it hits me hard everytime I listen to it, but on the other side it's just perfect and so honest.

Oh, yes. THAT'S what I said. It's not like I was referring to the near-reflex "EEEEWWWW" reaction even supposedly mature adults have to any mention of sex and lust... Still, this album is a masterpiece.

@blackfintuna Obviously, you haven't matured to the point that you can handle the real world. This album's concept covers several very important topics that people don't want to talk about because they've been conditioned to never fully mature beyond the "cooties" phase. How is sexual desire and lust (I assume this is what you're referring to since the other concepts are far more "socially acceptable" and even most people who are out of touch with reality can still handle them) in any way disgusting ?

This album GROWS on you! I remember the first time I listened to this album through and through I simply thought it was a cheap imitation of Pain of Salvation's previous release "The Perfect Element, Pt.1" (which is definitely one of the finest albums ever recorded). However, the more I came back to "Remedy Lane", the more I realized all the subtleties (how the song "Remedy Lane" beautifully sums up the motific developments from the previous tracks) and the minor nuances ("Dryad of the Woods" is a stunning instrumental). After listening to it atleast 11 times over in the past couple months I can easily say this album is en-par with "Perfect Element" if not better.

I cannot believe this album. All these feelings translated into music. It amazes me how someone can actually do this and create nothing short of a masterpiece. B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T
