Come on, Ozzy had worse enemies wanting to discredit and intimidate him, Kanye's fandom is nothing

That's what Ozzy said on Twitter: "Kanye West asked permission to sample a section of a 1983 live performance of "Iron Man" from the US Festival without vocals & was refused permission because he is an antisemite and has caused untold heartache to many. He went ahead and used the sample anyway at his album listening party last night. I want no association with this man!"

Sharon told Billboard: "We get so many requests for these songs, and when we saw that request, we just said no way. To spread hate the way he does, it shouldn't be allowed. All the excuses – he's bipolar or whatever – doesn't change that. It's like, fuck you, basically."

Best frontman? Yes. Best singer? Nope. Nobody can touch the Italian dwarf from Texas. 😊

With all due respect to Italian dwarf from Texas, who as a singer is completely on another level, I think when Ozzy was in the band everything was just in its right place. The band overall was in its creative peak and Ozzy was fitting perfectly with their sound at the time. And damn his work is good on Sabotage! Not maybe perfect in technical sense but in a way how intense he is there. Since he left, I think Black Sabbath started sounding more like a standard heavy metal band of its time. Not because of him leaving of course, as he was never the main driving force behind the bands creative process, and Never Say Die, the last album with Ozzy, was already not the strongest one. But he happened to be there in the right time and added to the bands recognizable sound.

While Sabbath did switch from a prominently doom and a more recognisable sound to a more standard heavy metal sound with Dio, and maybe you were not even implying that, but it doesn't mean the quality dipped. I like Ozzy Sabbath over other eras, but the stuff they did with Dio is god-tier and legendary still.

I defunitely don't hate Dio era and albums from this period are still good, but I enjoy them much less then Ozzy Sabbath. Perhaps because I'm overall more into all things that doom. Dio Sabbath to me souds like a completely different band, or I would even say more like Dio's solo stuff.

So disappointed he withdrew from Power Trip. Hopefully he's well enough to do one final tour.

It's sad he's giving up touring. I saw him with Sabbath for the tour promoting 13. I didn't like the album that much and I usually avoid late career tours but they were extremely good. You could tell then he was aging and it took a lot of effort but he had so much enthusiasm and energy and could really work the crowd. Mostly by going "WE LAV YOU!" "RAWK AND ROLL!" and "COME ANNN!" but yeah great frontman.

yep but I hate the shitty andrew watt production. sounds like miley cyrus, taylor swift or any usual north american plastic tiktok toilet paper crap. without tony iommi, zakk wylde & other guests, it would be an awful record
