Hearing their version of Silent Night (duet.) on The Darkest Night of the Year still gets me every time...

There is something weird about this band... They surely put a lot of effort into their music and they have been together and making music for a lot of years (since dinosaur age), but there's only one or two songs I will like in each album. I guess it's still good that I have a nerve to listen to every new release they put out. I just wish I could go and listen to them with that "yay" feeling I have for some artists that release crap, sort to speak... I think they are lacking something.

I'm just going to whistle incessantly, skip everywhere, eat cupcakes, and pretend OtR didn't cancel their end-of-the-year Midwest tour, okay? Okay.

I could listen to the OtR catalogue all day, every day, and never fail to be at peace and happy.

I first listened to the Christmas cds, especially "All I got for Chistmas is Blue", then I downloaded ALL their music. Latter Days and Poughkeepsie are exceptional. Linford and karin are a great American story, small towns, Christain college, meet later. Yes, like Cowboy Junkies and spiritual like Bruce Cockburn. GREAT songwriting.

Hmm, I ain't really feelin' Films for Radio, but their music has otherwise been pretty much unfailingly beautiful.
