"B.O.B." (or "Bombs Over Baghdad") is a single from OutKast's 2000 album "Stankonia". The song features the Morris Brown College Gospel Choir. The inspiration for the song came when André 3000 was in a London hotel room and overheard a news report about "bombs over Baghdad". While a failure upon release as a single due to its mixture of hip-hop, jungle, electronic, alternative and soul not being able to blend in with the rotation of any radio format in the United States, it has been named as one of the best singles of all time by many publications and critics.
Reception
In 2008, it was ranked #23 on VH1's 100 Greatest Songs of Hip Hop.
"B.O.B." was named the #2 song in the "500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" list in 2006 by Blender, second only to Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean".
The song was named the #1 single of 2000–2004 by Pitchfork Media, as well as the #1 song of the 2000s.
It was ranked #2 on Stylus Magazine's Top 50 Singles of 2000-2005
