I have to say this is one of my favorite Heritage songs [Section for haters: I'm not putting it in front of any other songs from a different album, but in a different category. It's still pretty damn good.].

So if I write a song that I meant to be terrible, and a critic reviews my song and calls it terrible, a double negative occurs and my song transmogrifies into a piece of genius?

[srsfag] Also, counterproductive was exactly the word I was looking for. Because if it's meant to be cliché, then calling it that is effectively just reassuring them they did their job. Hence, as critique that is meant to be negative, it has the opposite effect of what was desired.

This song isn't supposed to be new, fresh and experimental, it's supposed to be obsolete, rotten and CLICHE. Pretentious is counterproductive AND counterintuitive criticism. FAGS

For fuck's sake, enough with the pretentious bullshit. This song isn't supposed to be new, fresh and experimental. It's supposed to sound like Rainbow and it does. Which is kick-ass.

During the last tour with Katatonia, Mikael mentioned this track is a tribute to old metal bands and was heavily influenced by Rainbow. He then proceeded to say "Rest in peace, DIO." Please, ignorant kids. QFT if you don't know the roots of your music.

this sounds like something from the soundtrack of a really lame ps1 racing game

It's definitely far from being one of their most creative songs. That being said, it is fun as hell when played live. I felt in touch with my nonexistent metalhead for the first time in years. (Though that's probably a bad thing)
