Erm, Isis' first album (Celestial) is has a very strong sludge aesthetic (but all their albums are excellent); I'm not so knowledgeable of the genre, but Neurosis' earlier stuff (their album Through Silver in Blood especially) is in a similar vein, albeit quite experimental.

This song is very much like Gentle Time by Isis - both absolutely excellent songs. Give it a listen.

As much as I love the whole album, this is still perhaps my favourite. It's so fecking good.

I was rather scared of the direction they were taking with H&M, but then this opening track filled me with bliss and I was able to relax and listen to the whole thing, goodness, this is just epic.

It's weird, sometimes I say things like "an album of Women Who Love Men" would be amazing, but then you remember that they write songs like this, which are just so awesome.
