'Rain To Be' is the title track of ONEWE's 1st mini album Planet Nine : Alter Ego. It was released on June 16th, 2021.
According to the song's main writer Kanghyun (ONEWE), 'Rain To Be' is inspired by how "every time ONEWE had a schedule, it would rain". The lyrics express a longing for the rains to come to cherish the moments spent together. The song's Korean title 비를 몰고 오는 소년 (The boy who brings the rain) uses the singular form of boy (소년) rather than boys (소년들) so that "the subject of the lyrics became two characters "you" and "me", and so he divided the characters into two: WEVE (fandom) and ONEWE" (Studio We: Make A Sound 'Planet Nine Alter Ego' 제작기 #1)
The demo version of 'Rain To Be', '비를 몰고 오는 소년 (Original Topline Ver.)', was subsequently released, CD only, on ONEWE's Studio We: Recording #2 demo album (title track: 'Star') on December 7th, 2021.
