Eh. I think some of their covers are less interesting than they could have been, but the Wrong cover is definitely iconic

Amazing interview with Rob Wright: https://alienatedinvancouver.blogspot.com/2018/05/nomeansno-rob-wright-interview.html. Check it out if you want some insights into the band's philosophy (and really anything about the band, it's a huge interview). Rob's a great guy.

Such a bummer they called it quits. I was hoping maybe I'd get one more opportunity to see them again. And, of course, I was hoping for another record. The void they've left won't be easily filled, that's for sure. NMN was responsible for some of the best Punk/Rock records in three different decades, and they were one of the very best live bands you would ever want to see/hear. In particular John Wright is just an absolute god of drumming (not to take anything away from Rob, Tom and/or Andy, of course).

I can't stop listening to this band. Everything they did is worth multiple listens. One of the best bands ever to exist.

Known about this band for a few years now, only got into them within the past month. I am absolutely in fucking love with this band. Every single album. From the start too. Normally a band with this much material I'm very gradual, I'll just like a couple albums, then slowly like more. But I've loved every single song I've ever heard from this band. They are one of the best musical entities to ever exist, and they have become yet another band I love with my entire heart that I can't see. Either way, all the flawless music is such a fantastic gift.

I feel like a moron for not checking out this band sooner, especially given I've been familiar with their collaboration with Jello for years. Wrong is some of the best hardcore I've ever heard.

This is how I felt the first few times I listened to them. I still only enjoy the stuff from before they got back together. And I think the ep they did blows Vs. out the water.

I could never get into Mission of Burma at all. They're one of those artists like... I dunno, Elvis Costello, who many people I know or have known say is great and just leaves me completely cold. At least Mission of Burma just bores me to tears instead of making me want to destroy my own ear drums with a rusty screwdriver ala Elvis Costello. I don't particularly care for Gang of Four either and never found any of their albums to live up to the effusive praise heaped upon them. "Ether" is one of my favorite Punk/Post-Punk songs though, strangely. Anyway, NMN rules and I would be tickled pink if they were to put out a new album.

GoF having one amazing album that vastly outshines everything else they ever made still puts them tectonic plates ahead of MoB who never poked their nose past mediocrity.
