No-Big-Silence is an Estonian electro-industrial-rock band. Members of the band are Cram (vocal, lyrics), Willem (music, bass, backing vocal), Kristo K (guitar, backing vocals, keyboards, programming) and Rainer (drums).

Cram, Willem and Kristo K beginned making music together in a death-metal band Aggressor in 1989. Band changed the name into No-Big-Silence (NBS) in 1995 and with the change of name, the style and line-up also changed. They carried on with five members – Cram, Willem, Kristo K, Tarmo Jussila (bass) and Marko Atso (drums).

The first live concert with new name and line-up took place in 1995 on an Estonian music festival „Rock Summer“. On the same year the first album „99“ was recorded under label „Piraat Records“, but it wasn’t released until 1997. Electronic sounds appear in NBS’s music from 1996. On 1996 and 1997 they made the first studio recordings by themselves which were released on on-line album „Unreleased“ in 1999. Between 1996-1998 songs „New Race“, „Blowjob“ and „Vamp-o-drama“ were written and the fans still consider them as part of NBS’s top best songs.

On year 2000 another change in the line-up took place – Jussila and Atso left and Kristo R became the new drummer. The band created their own label „NBS Recordings“ and released the album „Successfiul, Bitch and Beautiful“. The album was a success, track „On The Hunt“ received a lot of radio airplay and was well remixed by Pedigree and DJ Dave Storm. NBS still plays such hits as „Reaction“, „Make Them Bleed“ and „Star Deluxe“ on their live performaces. Finnish record label „Cyberware Production“ sold the album in Scandivaia, UK, Germany, Italy and other European countries.

„Successfiul, Bitch and Beautiful“ was recorded under their own label, with technics whitch was borrowed especially for that project. After the album was recorded, NBS was sure, that they needed their own studio and technics to keep on working the way they want. Nowadays this is one of the most popular among Estonian rock bands. The guitarist and producer of NBS – Kristo K – has recorded and produced many albums and singles of Estonian artists between 2001 and today.

After „Successful, Bitch and Beautiful“ was released, the band gave a lot of live concerts. World famous artists like Rammstein, Metallica, Iron Maiden, HIM, Motörhead found NBS’s show to be high-grade and effective and asked No-Big-Silence to be their warm-up band on concerts in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

On 2003 NBS, Kosmikud and Peeter Volkonski recorded a fun album named „Kuidas kuningas kuu peale kippus“ (How The King Wanted To Go To The Moon). Since the songs lacked female vocal, they roped in a noted actress from Estonian Drama Theatre - Hele Kõre. This album also got great feedback from fans and critics. On the next years NBS improved their live shows and added different pyrotechnic solutions. In 2004 and 2005 No-Big-Silence performed in Leigo, where the stage was built into Leigo lake. The show was co-produced by multiinstrumentalist and electronic music producer Tiit Kikas and combined really effective earth-water-fire-sound spactacles.

Recording of NBS’s next album „War In Wonderland“ took place between 2002 and 2006.
10 songs, which are on „WIW“ now, were selected from 25.
„There was no point in hurrying releasing new album. Our main goal is to create a harmonic album with powerful songs only“, Kristo K explaines the bands philosophy.

The author of the music Willem says: „Many rock bands have used the backside of life and death and problems in society as themes of their creation and music. Our songs, on the contrary, are full of positive energy and irony. NBS sounds rough but at the same time easy, too.“

„The first single from „WIW“ , „The Outer Suns“, is most certainly the most „popish“ song and maybe in other circumstances we would have chosen a bit rougher song to be the first single, but the reality in Estonian music business is, that „The Outer Suns“ is the best song to play in the radio,“ Cram comments. He says, that old fans of NBS shouldn’t be surprised by the song, because there was a song with a similar sound on the last album - „On The Hunt“. He also thinks, that „The Outer Suns“ may be a gateway to the world of NBS for new fans.
The most famous song „Robot Super Lover Boy“ was recorded on 2002 and reproduced in 2006.

The album was released on April 17th 2006. It received extremely good responce from both fans and critics and it’s concidered one of the best albumbs from No-Big-Silence. Special attention has been brought on the cover art, which was created by Latvian artist Harijs Brants. The sound of the album also received compliments, it was gained thanks to Tom Baker (Precision Mastering).

On the first week in stores „War In Wonderland” took the first place in Estonian charts of record sales.

In the beginning of 2008 drummer Kristo Rajasaare left the band and Rainer Mere became the new drummer. No-Big-Silence gave the first live with the new drummer in May 2008. They also performed on couple of festivals on summer of 2008.

The band started working on the album release in the end of 2008. On May 18th in 2009 No-Big-Silence released their sixth album „Starstealer“. The presentation took place on May 22nd at Rockcafe. Kristo Kotkas said that if it was difficult to define their style on the previous albums, then now it’s even harder. Willem, who created the music said, that the material was mostly created in 2008, when big changes in his life took place. Cram, the vocalist, commented, that it has been great working on the new material and mixing different styles of music. He thinks, that the songs will be totally complete when they are performed live - they open themselves up in some special different way.

The first single from „Starstealer“ was „Chain Me“, where, like on the past albums, Kaire Vilgats sings female backing-vocals.

In October of 2009 NBS went touring with another Estonian band Sinine, they had 5 concerts - in Tartu, Tallinn, Pärnu, Võru and Viljandi.
