I can't come to terms with this one. I just can't. The only good thing about this track for me is the very ending with the glitchy loop. No fucking clue why Trent put it on BW, a NIN release. Sounds like some soundtrack outtake, which it should have remained. If I want to hear TR & AR soundtrack work I go and do just that. Play The Goddamned Part sounds Bad Witch'y and it's pretty good, it fits well, and this one just does not fit, even as a way to slow the pace before Over and Out this it does not work for me, because for that it's too long and feels like a drag. It should have been like half the length, and it would be much better(not to say that it wouldn't be beter if a different, more fitting track was in it's place). I simply zone out on it on each listen. And breaking up such a good flow for such a focused release feels like a giant offence.

Never listened to it too much. It is my least played track on The Slip not counting the intro. But it transitions very nicely from Lights In The Sky and has a more complex feel to it than I'm Not From This World and sounds much less static, it develops much more and makes lots of sense as both a piece and a step in the album's flow. It does not really break the pace, along with Lights In The Sky, plus Head Down has a nice ending transition to slower/ambient'ish music with all that low bass rumbling in the ending. Then The Four Of Us Are Dying picks up the pace and Demon Seed ties up the album in a really nice way. Now that I think back to The Slip, a sort-of passion project with (I assume) a few outtakes/evolved ideas from Ghosts I-IV I find it quite surprising how it's bigger and structured much better than Bad Witch.

damn, you certainly type a lot of words that doesn't say much at all, more than stating the obvious which is you are totally missing out on two of the best tracks in Nine Inch Nails' discography.

tHE LAST two tracks are some of his best instrumental work. the whole record is about as good as it gets from NIN.

I agree completely. We need a project collaboration between Trent Reznor and Akira Yamaoka.
