Great song but then I am biased heavily toward "Meadows of Heaven" and that is the Gold standard of Nightwish songs for me~

The climax part is very powerful and moving. I would have liked the "Light the fire, feast!" part to be longer. After these epic lines I expected like an even greater part, which is not weird because Tuomas does these endless buildups more often, he's great at that. But instead they do a break and get back to the chorus. It's good, but I just like that climax verse so much I think it's too bad it ends so quickly. Great song!

I feel like such a dork when this comes on--I always feel compelled to shout along "HOWL! SEVEN DAYS TO THE WOLVES!" and wave my hands like \o/. Love this track!

Some of the finest drumming from Dark Passion Play is in The Poet and The Pendulum and this song. Jukka is, as usual, on top form here. Clearly not as speed-metal influenced as the Oceanborn days but certainly more cleverly constructed.

hm...It's the first Nightwish album with Annete on vocals, which is not bad at all. IMHO Tarja and Annete both have their big pluses in band as singers.
