"Super Bass" is a song written by Nicki Minaj for the deluxe edition of her debut studio album, Pink Friday. After Taylor Swift stated that she's a fan of the song and played the track on air, Nicki indicated that the singer's promotion of the tune influenced the decision to release it as a single. This, in which, made the song an international hit, launching the biggest height of her career at that time. Super Bass has since been certified Diamond, meaning it has sold over 10,000,000 units.
