New Order's best album. Yeah, I said it. Come at me, bruh! Republic would probably earn a spot in my 90's top 10 albums, I love it that much (albeit the competition is absolutely brutal). It's definitely their most consistent album and is impeccably crafted with a tremendous batch of songs. The 2015 vinyl remaster sounds amazing.

This album isn't bad, but I don't think it's as good as some other NO records. Perhaps the fault lies on the poorly distributed tracks: its four singles are all at the very beginning of the LP.

I always kind of liked this album, but when I was a teen (in 1999) I got dumped for playing it in the car. She said it sounded like music her dad would listen to. She never spoke to me again because I refused to change it off for her. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I loved "Regrets" from first audience.. it was great discover that New Order published again after a long pause ( I mean discovered that NO was not ended). It was like a sun ray after a storm.Peter Saville was a genius to focus concepts in pictures. After this album NO discography ended.

Though each NO is kind of my favorite as I'm listening to it, this one is probably third for me overall. The choruses are amazing.

This album has not aged well at all. The production values harken back to the days of schmaltzy dance pop. Regret is still a MASSIVE opener though.

I usually listen to different music genres (as you can see on my profile), but this is one of the best albums I`ve ever heard.

whoooooaaaaaa, c'mon now, wastedish!! I love New Order as much as the next gal, really, but Depeche Mode and the Cure are mega-heavy-hitters in their own right!! :D

I'd say this was one of New Order's best albums, to be honest. No one who can call this their worst album has heard anything they released afterwards. Low troughs? It's fantastic from start to finish. There's flux, but nothing remotely approaching bad. The lyrics are actually intelligent, funny, and touching. The overall taste is that they're starting to worry they can't do it any more, that the record will be perceived as bandwagon jumping or laurel resting. This is the sort of self-doubt that more or less always makes for a beautiful album.

I think the general concensus is that this is their worst album. The peaks are incredibly high, but the troughs are low.

it's about damn time they changed it to the right cover. Personally I like it - it looks Photoshopped, but I think that was Peter Saville's intentions.
