Went on a road trip across country with a friend of mine earlier in the summer (CT to CA). As we drove through such places as the desert and the Great Plains, we felt a need to listen to Neil Young. We stopped at a Walmart, but this was the only Neil Young album it had. Would have preferred a different album, but this album sufficed. It actually went really well with the drive!

this is the only NY album i have. i've only just recently got into him and i saw this as a safe listen. i don't really like greatest hits usually but this is fantastic and i am sure i'll now look more closely into his work.

iTunes has told me that the artist for "Rockin' in the Free World" on this is by Neil Young + Pearl Jam.... iTunes is wrong, right?

"The actual CDs one by one: worth it. The greatest hits: not worth it." Worth it to someone who's never heard him.

Neil Young is fucking worth it all the way around. I am getting into him more as I get older and I love his stuff truly. Hes a great idol to wanna be like. Him and the Boss, 2 of the best.

Neil Young's Greatest Hits exhibit the beauty and huge talent of his songwriting and unique voice. A legend and a star. Inspirational. The simplicity of his arrangements is masterful.
