Nebelkrähe was founded as a traditional death/black metal band in early 2007 by Morg (guitar), Kar (bass) and DarkApostle (guitar). Soon Latrodectus (drums) was added to the band’s ranks, resulting in the yet unreleased WdT-Tape.
Not before long the band’s style changed to slightly progressive yet melancholic black metal, focussing on the atmosphere of the solely German lyrics. Not content with the band’s changed musical direction, DarkApostle left the band, his place being taken by Euphorion, which further contributed to the outfit’s musical development.
In summer 2007, Adalwolf (vocals) of Hibernihilum left the band after only a few weeks of participation and the vocalist’s post remained vacant until spring 2008.
Since February 2008, umbrA (vocals), who also works with German progressive black metal band Atrorum and the progressive metal band Dryad's Tree, is a full member of Nebelkrähe, thus completing the line-up.
The first concert was played Oktober 18, 2008, further gigs followed soon.
Their first release entiteled "entfremdet" was selfreleased 26th of June, 2009
