Neşet Ertaş (b. 1938-25 September 2012) was a singer of Turkish traditional music (Türk Halk Müziği Sanatçısı), lyric writer, and a virtuoso of the traditional Turkish instrument bağlama.
Ertaş was born in Kırtıllar, a village in Kırşehir; his father, Muharrem Ertaş, was a halk şairi (literally "folk poet"), and Neşet followed him into that profession. He interprets musical pieces of the Abdal tradition, following his father.
Ertaş left Turkey when he was just fifteen years old.
