“Give ‘Em Hell, Kid” is a fast-paced track told from the perspective of the primary narrator’s lover. She is unaware that her companion has made a deal with the devil, and is missing his presence in her life.
According to Mikey and Gerard, they enjoy playing this song live more than any other.
Frank Iero is known for calling just about everybody, ‘kid.’ He was quoted saying:
"You know, it is weird, but I refer to everybody as ‘kids’. It’s just something that I say. It’s like a term of endearment. When I say ‘kids’ or something like that, I don’t really have an age bracket set to that term."
On certain versions of the song, including on Apple Music and the "Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge" vinyl, Gerard opens the song by saying “check, check,” then continues speaking inaudibly during the opening bass riff.
