"Nothing to Gein" (an obvious play on words) is essentially the real-life story of Edward Gein (1906 - 1984), one of the United States' most notorious serial killers. He is often credited for the inspiration of characters in popular horror movies such as "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre", "Silence of the Lambs", and "Psycho". The song makes obvious references to a dysfunctional son-mother relationship as well as practices involving the removal of flesh, paralleling the story of Ed Gein whose victims were mostly older women which he often gutted, dismembered, or skinned to create clothing, furniture, and decorations.
