Had the pleasure of seeing these guys at the Leadmill in the mid-90s, supported by the equally brilliant and sadly under-listened Skunkhour (check them out - highly recommended). Anyway, Mother Earth were absolutely amazing. As is their recorded output, particularly The People Tree, bone fide classic.

The best acid jazz album i have heard IMHO, had the pleasure of seeing these guys at a club in BATH, England way early 90's, they didn't mind us dancing amoung them on stage which gave it a real nice atmosphere..

well it has t be said the Mother Earth I grew up with is the acid jazz one, and well, they are pretty damn unique thats for sure. Would be great to have some tracks here from Stones Woman to spread the word out there! (The People Tree has to be the most popular album though I rekon..>)
