Diego and Illorca are known for being the rhythm section of TIMORIA, one of the most popular and influential Italian bands since ‘90s, by issuing 12 albums (two golden records), twenty videoclips and performing hundreds live concerts.
In November 2002, Timoria splitted. Diego and Illorca continued to play together, and went back to their rock’n’roll roots. After a while they had a contact with Killa, the guitar player and composer of Alligator, metal band with three albums issued in the late ‘80s. Killa played also in the crossover band Zona (three albums issued) in the early ‘90s. Killa joined Diego and Illorca as a guitar player in their new project.
The last but not the least, Jack joined the band as singer with his talented voice and brilliant personality during September 2003.
On December 2003, following a year of strong and straight work, Miura arranged all the new songs and were ready to record their first studio album.
In February 2004 the recording session started at Esagono Recording Studio in Rubiera (RE). Along them worked both Claudio Morselli and Carlo Pinna as sound engineers. The new album was produced by Diego and Illorca.
On April 2004, with twelve tracks, the album “In Testa” was completed, and Miura signed a record deal with Volume/edel. The album “In Testa” was going to be released on 20 October, 2004.
Due to a serious car accident occurred to Illorca on September 2004, the album release date was postponed to 25 February 2005.
Among all, “Mi Accendi i Sensi” was chosen as first single and the videoclip was directed by Michele Corleone, a well known photographer for his portraits of the Beat Generation poets. He was the Timoria’s photographer and a friend since that period. Now he’s the Miura official photographer.
In the late 2005 Michele directed also the “Azzurro Acrilico” videoclip.
In May 2005 Miura started touring Italy.
On June, 11th, Miura joined the Heineken Jammin’ Festival bill, the most important italian music summer festival, joining the stage with Garbage, Green Day and R.E.M.
In September 2005, the album was overstocked so edel repackaged it in digipack with a brand new cover including the “Mi Accendi i Sensi” videoclip as bonus track.
Miura toured until May 2006.
In March 2006 they take part of the monologue “Niente più niente al mondo” performed at Teatro Due in Parma. For the occasion many of their original compositions are used by the director Francesco Migliaccio to set Massimo Carlotto’s lyrics.
At the end of 2006 Jack leaves the band.
In the early months of 2007 Max Tordini, ex Mesas singer, joins the band , the line up is completed.
March 2007, Miura starts the pre-production reharsals and chooses Giorgio Canali (CSI, PGR, Rossofuoco) as producer for the album.
In June 2007 Miura starts the recording sessions for the new album at Chichoi Studio in Bassano del Grappa (VI).
The album features many artists like Moltheni and Pietro Canali, Lubjan, Walter Clemente (Deasonika), Mirko Venturelli (Giardini di Mirò), Stefano Dal Col (Frigidaire Tango), Marcello Todde (Matra), Marcello will play live with the band too.
At the end of 2007 Diego starts his new record label PRISMOPACO.
23 April 2008, the new album, CROCI, is issued by Target/Prismopaco, ditributed by Delta Dischi.
CROCI contains 11 new songs and the re-arranged cover of Gino Paoli’s classic “Il Cielo In Una Stanza”
