"We Can't Stop" is the lead single from Miley Cyrus' fourth studio album, Bangerz.
Cyrus has stated that the song represents "where I'm at in my life now". Lyrically, the track describes a house party, as mentioned in the opening lines "It's our party, we can do what we want / It's our party, we can say what we want / It's our party, we can love who we want / We can kiss who we want / We can live how we want". It also makes several references to recreational drug use, including "dancing with molly", using a slang term for ecstasy and "trying to get a line in the bathroom".
