giving Diesel and Dust a first spin after the obligatory Australian childhood of Beds as a background song on the radio you don't really pay attention to and i gotta admit i'm a lil shook by the Weird Eighties Arty New Wave of it all. in my brain they sounded like Jimmy Barnes ;o

If you’re a weak man I’m going to treat you like a weak man. I have this 19 year old kid working for me and he had the nerve to accuse me of having “aggressive business practices.” I don’t know what that means but I made him follow me outside into the parking lot and I screamed at him in front of a lot of people. I didn’t get this Rolex from putting up with bullshit from 19 year olds. If you don’t like raw aggression you shouldn’t be working at build a bear workshop. I told him to come in early tomorrow because I’m going to fire him and I’m going to film it. I’m a business owner (regional manager) and sometimes I have to take out the trash.

is it just me, or chorus of Bon Jovi's "It's my life" is totally stolen from MO's "Beds Are Burning"?

Saw them in Oslo a month ago without really having heard anything but Beds Are Burning from them prior to it. I was positively surprised.

I'm glad to hear that you were positively surprised! I saw them in Furuviksparken (outside of Gävle, Sweden) a few days after the Oslo gig you went to. I've been listening to them since the late 80s, though, but mostly to just three of their albums. I had no idea what to expect live, however. Especially after such a long break from touring (15 years). I was blown away! Found myself at their extra London date on July 23, and then in L A on Aug 19 (went there literally just for the concert). And I'll see them 9 times in Australia in November. I don't expect you to understand my passion completely, but I was happy to see that they could also appeal to someone who didn't know their music prior to seeing them live :)

I bought Diesel And Dust yesterday, I've been enjoying it. It's rather perplexing to me that Midnight Oil are so overlooked.
