“Been Like This“ is the lead single from Meghan Trainor's upcoming sixth studio album, Timeless (2024), featuring T-Pain. It was released by Epic Records on March 14, 2024 as the official lead single. The track was written by Trainor and T-Pain along with Kurt Thum and Trainor's brother Ryan.
Sonically, it is a jazz electro-pop song with doo-wop influences. The main melody features a trumpet in an upbeat pop style. A music video for the song was released on March 27th featuring Meghan and T-Pain in a 50s style dance video. The same day, the song was officially sent to US radio, where it peaked at #33 on the Billboard Mainstream Top 40 chart. It was previously sent to Italian radio on March 22, 2024.
