Thrash metal masterpiece! Safe to say this is the one of the best thrash metal albums of 1985. The others to me are Razor's Executioner's Song & Evil Invaders, Slayer's Hell Awaits, Overkill's Feel the Fire, Possessed's Seven Churches, Bulldozer's The Day of Wrath, C.O.C.'s Animosity and Onslaught's Power from Hell. Only the 1985 issue of this album is real. The remastered version doesn't exist to me.

Surprised this one has so few listeners compared to so many of their other records. They've recorded some great stuff as recently as Dystopia, but for me the crux of their reputation and greatness lies in the first handful of albums. Can't imagine not wanting to check out the earliest stuff if I were arriving to this band late in the game.

Yeah that's part of it but even when you put together the various misspellings it still only amounts to ~130,000 listeners or so. I guess I just would've expected it to be one of the most popular Megadeth albums among fans.

Dave's voice on this record reminds me of Steven Tyler's voice in the 1970's. Especially during "Rattlehead".

This album is about the 80s punisher comic. It's also about the killer rabbits that fly.

I'm fortunate to have the original pressing of this on CD. Highly rare! Megadeth's best album, in my opinion!

I used to have the 7 track from 1990.In 2000 I found out about these boots and want to cover it. I'll play a radio with seek and destroy on it then change it and it will turn into these boots. Thanks bro.

Really good debut album. I know the production/mix is kind of a hurdle for a lot of people to enjoying this record, but like Widomaker121212 hit on earlier, I'm a big fan of Black Metal and almost everything in that genre sounds like shit from a technical perspective, so the mix on this one doesn't bother me terribly. Anyway, the remix/remaster does a good job of cleaning things up if you're interested in hearing the album but you're too put off by the thought of listening to it in its original incarnation.

I think the remix and remaster helped a lot I listen to black metal so I'm used to bad production but the r and r was able to clean it up without making it sound artificial. It's still raw and angry just like it should be

I love the lo-fi aspect of the album. It just fits what Megadeth was all about at that point in time: raw, gritty, and in-your-face.
