Biography
Mark.Nine is the alias of Marcus Gutierrez, an independent electronic music composer from Houston, Texas. Experimenting with the creation of computer-based music since he was 14 (2004), Marcus became interested in the electronica netlabel scene early in 2006 and has released several albums of no charge on I/O Netlabel, an internet based label which he and Tomas Borosko (Five Step Path) both founded. Although I/O is no longer operational, Marcus has started a new alternative titled Artificial Memories.
Marcus has released five full length albums since 2006 all of which are available free. The latest album, Bicycles, was sold for the first time with a physical copy while the digital was priced at a choice the listener could choose. New musical projects (As of 2013) include a new album to be released in 2014 and new music/projects under different aliases, including 4d5 and The Chief of Thieves.
