Mark Schultz (born September 16, 1970, Colby, Kansas) is a contemporary Christian singer-songwriter. After serving as lead singer for Up with People (1995-1996), Schultz returned to Nashville and became a youth group leader. Encouraged by a teenager to pursue his songwriting, Schultz released his self-titled debut album in 2000, which launched his successful solo career.
Schultz's music explores themes of faith, family, and personal experiences. Songs like "He's My Son", "I Am The Way", "All Things Possible" are among the many songs that have achieved critical acclaim and topped Christian music charts. He is a multi-nominated Dove Award recipient, winning his first in 2006 for Long Form Music Video of the Year ("Mark Schultz Live: A Night of Stories & Songs"). He has gone on to see two million records sold to date, with ten No. 1 singles.
Married to Kate with three children, including an adopted daughter. Schultz, who is also adopted, finds this experience has deepened his understanding of being chosen and loved unconditionally.
Mark Schultz remains a beloved figure in contemporary Christian music. Following a six-year hiatus to focus on family, Schultz returns to music with his new live album, "Follow," releasing August 17, 2024. The album features a mix of new songs and fan favorites.
