this is an excellent album. a bit unusual for Kozelek but it just works. very powerful lyrically as well.

Incredible how Koz's last through-and-through good album is a bunch of chiptune songs.

Also my favorite Kozelek release. Wish he would collab more with Jimmy instead of yelling about Bob Sagat over Jesu tracks

An album with such a sad aura that I steered clear of it for quite a while. How any Kozelek fan could be disappointed by this is beyond me. The sometimes near lethargically depressed vocals are wonderfully accompanied by Lavalle's folktronica; the songs take just as much time as they need. It's a real treat to hear these gems go on for 6-8 minutes, and when the album closer fades out after more than 10 minutes, you're already craving for more. Slowcore's veteran did it again.

@136 thats exactly what i thought..an American Arab Strap....its nice to hear Kozelek's voice with some old school beats...although Kozelek's stll great and i have been listening to him since seeing RHP back in 92..its refreshing to hear him do some thing new. Hope Jim and Mark do more albums.

One of the best albums both artists have done in a while (and I like both Mark and Jimmy's previous couple albums a lot). Probably going in my top 10 of the year.
