Mantra Machine starts early 2012 when guitarist Paul, bass player Tjø and drummer Jeroen begin to play experimental jams together in their studio in Amsterdam. Influenced by the likes of stoner, spacerock and psychedelics, Mantra Machine is set out to reach new audiences with a mix of heavy guitars, shimmering bass and grooving drums, soaked in 'mantra style' instrumental synth soundscapes. In 2012 they debuted at the Sonic Rock Solstice festival in England and released their first EP 'Stage One'. Among other gigs they were invited to play at Mudfest III (2013) and shared the stage with a great line-up of other bands. In 2014 they have recorded and released a first full-length album called 'Nitrogen'.

(Dutch) De naam Mantra Machine zegt het eigenlijk al: echte stoner/spacerock met slepende, uitgesponnen muzikale mantra’s. Dit alles nog eens aangevuld met beeldmateriaal uit o.a. de Californische Low Desert. Laat je lekker gaan en droom swingend, stampend en zuigend weg naar verre oorden in verre sterrenstelsels met zoemende gitaren, dikke bas, groovende drums, gedrenkt in spacende soundscapes. ‘Meer fuzz dan een jaren 70 pornofilm’, aldus een luisteraar.
