The new release its pretty good. Heavy riffs with a weird retro progressive aproach. The medieval/pagan aesthetics still there as well.

Blackened Heavy Metal with a folk theme! Very inspired by Bathory, Darkthrone, Mercyful Fate and Death SS. I rly want to meet more bands in this style.

Крутая группа. Их альбом Stridžie dni тащит жанр и позволяет блэк металлу оставаться всё ещё актуальным.

A new black metal band with actually good riffs, a rarity these days. Nordkarpatenland might be my favorite release from last year actually.

I'm always astonished at the number of foreign fans who dig acts like Master's Hammer, Umbrtka or Malokarpatan even though they don't understand any of the mind-blowing lyrics. That's a good sign, it means the music is really good, but I can't help wondering how much you guys don't know you're missing! :) I see that Encyclopaedia Metallum has quite competent English translations of Malokarpatan's lyrics. They just neglected to mention they're not written in standard Slovak but an obscure mountain dialect, which makes them even better. For a similar effect, you can imagine they're in Scots rather than standard English. https://www.metal-archives.com/albums/Malokarpatan/Nordkarpatenland/667446

I can relate :) I listen to a lot of Scandinavian music and I feel the same about bands singing in their native Faroese, Norwegian, Danish, or old Norse languages with a different feeling, culture and history behind their lyrics compared to music written in traditional English. But as you mention yourself, just being able to appreciate the music by its sound itself, without getting the full meaning behind it, is a huge kudos to the artists. I love when bands have a native vibe to their music so I'll definitely give them a listen :)
