Biography
Madron are an epic dark rock duo who formed in 2003. They consist of NICKY GILBERT and PAUL BROCKMAN. Paul Brockman who used to perform in a rock band with Nicky decided to pursue writing an album of his own material after the band split due to musical differences. He then recruited Nicky a powerful and distinctive vocalist and after recording a whole albums worth of material in their front room MADRON was born. They then released the stunning self recorded written and performed debut album The Beginning. The album was mastered by Dan Paine who’s worked with the likes of Hot Chocolate and The Darkness. They take their influences from many different artists like Rush, Evanescence, Guns roses, Metallica and Heart. Album track Another Day was recently nominated as a finalist in the UK national songwriting contest and the album The Beginning has received many hot reviews around the world. The current epic and mammoth rock anthem of a single Mind Games will soon be taking Internet Radio stations by storm and is now available from Matchbox Recordings in the U K and CD Baby in the USA. Think Toyah, Evanescence, Fleetwood Mac and Hazel O Connor mixed with an epic, spacey, atmospheric 70’s 80’s esq epic rock backing. This is true rock of epic proportions with extremely distinctive and instantly recognisable vocals from Nicky Gilbert Out of this world. It’s ’Madron’. "Matchbox A R" Madron have also excelerated this venture in 2006, with deciding and to fullfill demand, taking Madron out LIVE! A Madron live band has been auditioned and a full line up is now complete with the introduction of STEVE PROUDLEY on lead guitar and now we have secured the services of DAN PENNY our new stix man.
