By far has some of the best jazz-hop beats I've ever heard, and it boggles my mind some people find this boring. My best guess is that they have more of a hip-hop background than jazz? Or vice-versa? I do think a couple songs are too repetitive, but there's so much authenticity here that blows most jazz-hop out of the water. A lot of jazz-hop sounds very formulaic and cliché, but here there are so many moments that actually remind me of specific jazz greats: Lou Donaldson, Yusef Lateef, Milt Jackson, Donald Byrd, etc. Maybe there weren't enough piano & sax samples for more casual listeners, but the accuracy to Blue Note era music and overall attention to detail is just undeniable; even the drums are tuned like a jazz kit on several songs. How often does that ever happen in hip-hop?

I don't really understand why you say that this album is boring. It doesn't mean to be avant-garde or anything alike. Just really groovy shit

This is an insult to jazz. A spit in the face of every musician whose work is desecrated here.

Just started listening this and really enjoying it. I was wondering if anybody could help me find more artists/albums that make this kind of (instrumental) music. Just pm me or leave a shout in the messagebox. :)
