One of the best of the best and my fav from 'em, sad that we can't get the OG pentagram cover art as the main pic, but well :p

The black on black pentagram one is the pfp now. I prefer the black on white one tho

I prefer both, but the black on white definitively goes hard, shame that it suffers the same fate as Slippery as wet album art, the new one gets moar upvotes than the pink border one

Not a big fan of this band anymore but this album never lets me down. It was always my favorite album of theirs and these days it's their only album that hasn't aged poorly imo. An immortal Heavy Metal classic.

And what's up with the album cover? My vinyl and CD both have a glossy pentagram on a matte black background. Those bands pics are inside the gatefold.

I think their first album definitely have set the basis for a joyful party-metal side of glam. SatD is their closest to trad heavy metal. I think they borrowed a lof from radio-friendly side of Judas Priest here and mixed it with their earlier sound. Also, I think that Theatre of Pain isn't that different in its core from this one if you focus on heavier songs instead of "Smokin' in The Boys Room". And keep in mind that glam metal changed quite dramatically after 1986, it became less metallic, more hard-rockish and poppier in general thanks to the success of the bands like Bon Jovi.

This is the album that made me fall in love with music. Not just 80s "hair metal", but everything from classical, country, funk, early rock n roll, so many vastly different genres with seemingly no connection. Motley Crue's Shout At The Devil kickstarted my heart to it all. In the words of Frank Zappa, "Music is the best.".

@Bero1707: I think it's much better the pentagram cover than the cover with the members of the band. However, who the fuck cares?? The songs is what really matters and this album is the best Mötley Crüe album.
