Yeah it really does - Loverboy have a track called Dangerous on their 1985 album which was written by Bryan Adams and his version is called Reckless! This version only showed up on the 30th Anniversary version and it great.

I know, I know... this song gets so much praise. Working for the Weekend is incredible. It's one of the best songs of the 1980's. Insanely memorable and catchy!

The thing that strikes me most about Loverboy is how easily they fit in amongst their contemporaries without yeilding entirely to them. They’ve got the musical chops to rock out alongside the hard rock crowd & crowd pleasing hooks and textures to make the new wavers swoon. In the present day, they sound 80s, but not embarrassingly so. They hold up and sound good still. Maybe that’s the ultimate compliment after nearly 40 years.

I really can not understand why so many people think that Loverboy is a one hit band . Are you serious ? So under rated band . Loverboy were outstanding back in the 80's . In my opinion one of the greatest bands with so many hot songs with amazing rhythm . Respect .

Songfacts sat down with Paul Dean to talk opening up for KISS, what he REALLY thinks about "Working for the Weekend" being used during that infamous Saturday Night Live sketch and so much more! Enjoy! http://www.songfacts.com/blog/interviews/paul_dean_of_loverboy/

In the 80s heavy metal began evolving into speed metal which means 15 notes in a frame instead of 4. Loverboy's "Working For the Weekend" was peraps not speed metal, but in spite of that it has one of the best speed metal riffs ever played.
