Biography
Los Chicles was a pop band from San Miguel de Tucumán.
The group was composed, for most of their history, by Patricio Garcia (guitars and voice, the main composer of the group), Gerardo Cuneo (bass) and Matias Lazzo (lead guitar).
Their first drummer was Juan Carlos Thouvier, who left around 1999 and they decided to replace the drum sounds with pre programmed beats and samples courtesy of Martin Villa, who became an important part of their sound.
They released three albums: "Argh! Burp! Prrr!" (1997), Dementa (1999) and "Los Chicles" (2000). While they were preparing their fourth record, which was going to be double, they split. The demos of those sessions circulate amongst fans.
Patricio continued making music and released a solo album, "La Magia" in 2003. He also had a second group called "Patricio Garcia y su Orquesta Osos" (Patricio Garcia and his Bear Orchestra). Nowadays he plays small acoustic shows and is dedicated to filming several short movies.
