Essential collection from one of the true heroes of Rock & Roll. Good place to start, but don't think this is the only Link Wray you need. For some reason he's been largely written off as a guy who had a couple of good singles, but he made a series of GREAT Roots Rock type albums (think Exile on Main St in style, and not far below that record in quality, actually) in the 70s, he's got some good live records, he recorded a bunch more stuff in the late 50s and early 60s that you can find on compilations like The Slinky Sessions, White Lightning, etc, and then of course there are the great "Missing Link" (4 volumes) collections that have some stuff he did as a side man and other more obscure stuff. All very much worth hearing. Link Wray was a fucking guitar god and an amazing musician that deserves to be recognized as such.
