“World Class Sinner” is the first single by Lily-Rose Depp for the THE IDOL’s soundtrack album. It was teased on the first episode of the series as the comeback single of Lily’s character, Jocelyn, after her tour was canceled due to a nervous breakdown.

The song describes Jocelyn’s pop-star persona as a “freak” and a “good girl gone bad”, but she disapproves of the song for being “too superficial and not sincere.”

On June 7, The Weeknd revealed the song’s release date on a Instagram post.
