I think it's one of Lenny's best albums. Love the funky tracks ("Black and White America", "Life Ain't Ever Been Better Than It Is Now", "Come On Get It") and the Marvin Gaye-like tracks ("Liquid Jesus", "Push", "Dream") and the overall positive message this album permeates.

I love this album. I think this was Lenny's best album since "Lenny." I am not saying the others weren't good -- "Minister of Rock N Roll" and "Will You Marry Me" are two of my favorites off "Baptism" and "It Is Time For A Love Revolution" -- but this is a hit from beginning to end without many fillers. I really love "Push," "Liquid Jesus," "Superlove," "Boongie Drop," the title track, "Everything," "Sunflower" and "Come On Get It" are the top ones I like.

Extremely annoying CD. I loved '5' and the old songs that are written in the history of his creation, however, 'Black and White America' is far below one's expectations. Metamorphosis to funky rythms is imho to cut corners, not that catchy anymore. Lyrics are poor with no (deeper) message, sometimes the same line is being repeated for 3 minutes and that's driving me insane. I'm very disappointed with this release.
