Listening to "Led Zeppelin III" released on October 5, 1970. Many of the songs featured on the album were conceived in mid-1970 at Bron-Yr-Aur, an 18th-century cottage in Gwynedd, Wales, on a hilltop overlooking the Dyfi Valley, three miles north of the market town Machynlleth. This set the tone for this masterpiece of music. No electric or running water, Page & Plant where roughing it(LOL), they only had a staff of 7. Song written by Page & Plant.

@webtomy considering you can't even spell the word awful... I don't take too much insult from your statement

Best post-breakup song ever - talking about losing all of his friends during a relationship and being left 'looking for what you knew' after she's gone ...

one of their most underrated songs out there...it has some dark, powerful density, and epic feeling above all.

Page and Plant recorded a version of this song and Four Sticks with the Bombay Symphony Orchestra in the 70s. It was never released but there's a bootleg... Led Zep with tabla, Indian strings, shenai, etc. http://gregvalou.com/musics/obscure/LZindia03.mp3 - Friends http://gregvalou.com/musics/obscure/LZindia02.mp3 - Four Sticks

It's always funny the contrast between the optimistic lyrics and the holy-shit-we-are-doomed creepy-ass strings.
