When i was a kid in the 60's, my grandparents used to watch his TV show fairly regularly. the really messed up part is that I can still remember the lyrics to the end song ('Good night, sleep tight, and pleasant dreams to you'). I made a Welk reference to my 20-yo son, and he didn't know who I meant. Probably a good thing. :-)

I enjoyed hearing Lawrence Welk's version of The Woodchopper's Ball replayed on Musical Memories PBS television channel 39 Sunday night and really enjoyed the perky beat for my exercise routine, soooo have fingers crossed this channel will include Welk's version (better IMHO than others). I grew up in Welk's era, so still enjoy the (HeeHee also Elvis!) style..... <"CHANGE" doesn't always come easy Chad.;-)>

I can't believe people actually listen to Lawrence Welk. If you are fans, you're in luck though. You could probably find his entire discography on vinyl for less than $3.
