This is the official remix to Latto’s hit single, “Big Energy,” featuring Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled. The clean version was released on March 28, 2022, and the official explicit version on the 31st, as a part of the 777 album.
On March 21, 2022, Latto went to social media to reveal the album’s tracklist, with the remix to this song being released three days later. However, the guest feature on the remix has been censored, leaving fans to speculate the artist attached to the remix.
Rumours began to take place considering Trinidanian-American female rapper Nicki Minaj as the track’s feature. It was later revealed that both Mariah Carey and DJ Khaled were the primary features for the remix, after the cover art was revealed. This is a callback to Mariah Carey’s track ‘'Fantasy,’' which “Big Energy” flips.
