"Summerboy" is a song written by Stefani Germanotta (Lady GaGa) and KNS Productions (Brian Kierulf & Joshua Michael Schwartz), who produced it in 2007. The song is featured on Lady GaGa's debut album, 'The Fame'.

After being dropped by Island Def Jam in January of 2007, GaGa's management wanted to expand her sound by working with other producers. At the time, KNS Productions was under the same management company and wrote three songs with GaGa ("Summerboy", "Heiress", and "Panty Party"). During the demo stages, the song was under the title "Summer Boys". GaGa revealed in an interview that the inspiration behind the song was about dating a guy during summertime and knowing that the relationship will end after the season. She further explained that most girls fall in love during the summer when people wear revealing attire. The ambiguity of the lyrics also made listeners believe that the song is also a metaphor for the transience of stardom; a theme that occurs throughout 'The Fame' era.

"Summerboy" was available on Lady GaGa's MySpace around July 2007 and has performed the song live at Lollapalooza in August 2007. She has not performed the song live since.
